Lake Tahoe Geese
Lake Tahoe was difficult because much of the shore is private. I found this small spot with very few people and waited until dusk to make some creative long exposures of the lake and sunset sky, although I knew the water alone was not enough of a subject for me. As I was preparing and figuring out the exposure settings, a number of geese and a duck approached. My immediate reaction was to shoo them away, however, I quickly realized they would make a wonderful foreground subject. I pulled out one of the graduated neutral density filters (leaving only the 0.75) and exposed a few frames before they wandered off.
