Northwest Territories, Canada | 2007
The waterfalls in the Northwest Territories are truly spectacular. The area was desolate and I felt as if I had the entire region to myself; peace, quiet and stillness to make photographs. The serenity allowed me to be creative and find new ways to photograph a very popular subject: waterfalls. I could see the spray rising up as the water crashed down into the falls and decided to focus there. With everything moving so quickly, it was difficult to know the best exposure; I made a number of calculated guesses and this is was the best.
