North Dakota Road
The prairie is everywhere in North Dakota and it's often challenging to create a distinct image. The primary difficulty for me, as an artist, is escaping the same thing over and over again. On the flip side, this forces me to be more creative and push myself harder.
I found this dirt road leading across the landscape. I selected my Hasselblad 35mm lens because it is closest to my natural perspective. I made several exposures to accentuate the remoteness of the road. I also used a 0.9 ND Grad to reduce the light from the sky. My exposure was 1/25th of a second at f16.
I made these photographs using my digital Hasselblad camera.
