Contemptuous Sea

Quebec, Canada

I struggled to make this photograph, clutching tightly to the wet rock in the fog, drizzle and sea mist. With my tripod as low as it could go I realized I had to switch lenses to make the photograph match my vision. I unzipped my jacket and brought the entire camera and new lens into it to keep it from getting wet. As quickly as possible I added an ND filter to lengthen the shutter speed and also added a graduated ND, then I made this exposure.
